Business Card Holder Freebie

A few days ago my husband was pricing acrylic business card holders on the internet. You can get them for like 69 cents a piece, maybe less with a bulk rate. I am never ready to spend money on something that I don’t have to. So, I started looking for ideas that would work and came up with this simple template. The basic holder is made out of a green file folder. The whole masculine thing and construction require no frills. So that was what I made first. And then I went crazy with backgrounds and designs. These require printing out to a color printer on card stock or you can use scrapbook papers.

Ink Jet printers – it’s a good idea to have a sealer or fixative to spray your art if you plan to give them away because a little sprinkle will ruin the whole thing.

Making the card holders was a lot easier than photographing them. What you will get with this FREEBIE is a PDF with the template, an apple blossom business card and instructions on how to put this together.

This page works for that extended family or maybe all your friends that came to the office Christmas party. All the frames were created from the Christmas Joy Scrapbooking Kit. Mexican Siesta Digital Scrapbook Freebie

After an exhilarating visit with balmy 90 degree weather in Mexico, I came back home to discover that half the leaves had fallen off the maple trees and it was cold.

We stayed in Guadalara in the beautiful Hotel Morales. This historic hotel was divided into 3 sections and all areas were very ornate, the reception area that opened up to the top floor with a painting of clouds, the banquet room had decorative tiled steps, on the roof top there was a view of the city, a pool and always breathtaking moments of awe. The service was excellent.

I was anxious to put this Mexican Scrapbook kit together while the information was still in my head. One of the most fascinating places that I visited was the huge Mercado in Guadalara, that featured over 3 stories of shopping and eating experiences. There were miles of shoes, CDs, video games, jeans, jewelry, on the bottom floor you could buy meat, fruit and vegetables and in the middle of the mercado there were cubicles (maybe 50 or more) of food stands with everything from birrira (goat), ceviche, tacos and a Corona with lime and salt. Then it started pouring rain…

Much of our trip was spent navigating the cities with a taxi or bus. The bus was always more difficult because you never knew where you needed to get off. When we weren’t walking everywhere, we took a Tequila tour, a commercial bus to Puerto Vallarta. At Puerto Vallarta we loved the Vallarta Adventure tours. They were very professional and took great care to make sure we were all safe during the zip lines and the boat tours.

I would like to thank all the artisans of Tonala, Tlaquepaque, Guadalara and Puerto Vallarta for all their hard work in creating these beautiful pieces. My suitcase could only hold so much, so what I couldn’t purchase I photographed.

Viva Mexico Digital Scrapbook Kit

It has been awhile since I have posted. I recently took a vacation in Mexico. I visited Guadalara and took the ETN bus with my husband to Puerto Vallarta. This experience was fun, filled with awe, sometimes scary at night. Couldn’t get enough tacos. I drank the water and never got sick. The arts and crafts were so beautiful and my suitcase so small. The three bottles of tequilla made it through luggage and nothing was broken.

We met a young man named Jonathan who went with us to the Mercado and introduced us to ceviche. He walked the streets with us and enjoyed some Modello beers with us on the rooftop of the beautiful Hotel Moreles. This scrapbook page is dedicated to his friendship and may we meet again in warm weather and happy conditions.
